Organisational Development

A basic law of ecology applied to organisations states that in order to survive, an organisation's rate of learning must be as fast as the rate of change of its environment! Leaders therefore need to constantly influence their organisation with the intention of improving its adaptability, productivity and effectiveness to meet future challenges. This influence is demonstrated by a leader through their design and execution of various organisational development (OD) initiatives.

Experience suggests however, that the diagnosis of an organisation's issues are simple in comparison to overcoming the resistances exhibited by staff to implement the changes required to overcome these issues! Starr works with leaders to help them to maximise their influence across their organisation by giving them the hard and soft skills to design and implement organisational development programmes, such as cultural change programmes or change management programmes around the themes of strategy, structures, systems or culture which will result in their organisation becoming more effective and adaptable.
