Leading at Different Levels of the Organisation
The focus of leadership development tends to vary depending on the seniority of the leadership role. A useful way of categorising this is to consider leadership in one of two forms:
- conventional
- post conventional
Most leadership roles fall into the conventional category. This applies to first time management up to director level. At director level and above, leadership development requires an agenda more focussed towards developing a post conventional world view.
