Leadership and Management
Both leadership and management are equally important in successfully executing a senior organisational role.
Whereas management requires intellect, leadership requires high levels of emotional intelligence and emphasises the importance of a leader's relationship building skills to influence and engage those they work with.
Although management can be readily taught as a training intervention through learning a set of ‘hard' skills, leadership is best developed through coaching and mentoring to unlock from the inside, the leader's ability to be impactful with others.
